My poor bug has pink eye :-( I'm not sure how she got it, but she did. We have to put two drops in each eye FOUR times a day!!! For five days! Ugh... she does not like it one bit! But, then again, who would? She seems to be getting better though.
She is going crazy these days. Climbing all over everything, including me, lol. She has started pulling herself to a stand more often. She'll stand up next to the couch and then get angry that she can't sit down. It's kind of funny, but of course I help her down. She will slowly cruise on one piece of furniture, but can't get to anything else yet. It's gonna be hard to contain her when she gets to walking everywhere without support. I can't wait!

Rylee is getting around like a champ these days. She's learned to crawl on her hands and knees, though she gets around faster doing the belly crawl. She will pull herself up on the couch. We had to remove the coffee table because I didn't want her cracking her head open if she fell while trying to pull herself up. We've made the living room basically babyproof. There are a couple things that can't be removed, but other than that she has reign of the area. It's amazing to watch her grow. She amazes me everyday. I can't wait to see the person she will become, but I am more than willing to wait so that I can enjoy her how she is now.
She finally has two teeth. Both are up and through the skin and getting taller each day. I can't wait until she's done teething and has all of her teeth. It's no fun to see her in pain.

This coming week is going to be super busy and stressful.
Monday- Nothing much happening, James has to work and that's about it.
Tuesday- We're both working and I have yet to find a babysitter.... ugh...
Wednesday- A friend is coming to visit and James might work.
Thursday- I have wedding rehearsal and James works and I have yet to find a babysitter...
Friday- I have to help set up the hall for the reception, Rylee will be going to grandma's house for the weekend.
Saturday- Wedding day, I have a hair appointment at 10am and then I'm not even sure what time we're supposed to meet at the church. Plus all the bridesmaid duties that I am unaware of, lol. Then it's party time after the wedding!! Yay!!
I am going to need my sleep, I hope Rylee sleeps better tonight than last night. And that she lets me sleep in until at least 8... I can hope right?
Oh and Rylee has two teeth now!!! She's been pretty cranked out and clingy lately. I can't wait for all the teeth to pop through.

Sleepy time
Currently I am trying to get Rylee to go to bed. She's been in there for 45 minutes and still won't sleep. I've rocked her and swayed with her until she falls asleep but as soon as I lay her down she wakes up and rolls over and then gets angry. So, I figured I would just let her lay in there and figure it out. She was just talking and such but now it's kind of quiet. I'm not getting my hopes up yet.
It was super hot today! I loved it, but at the same time I didn't because we don't have a pool. The closest one is at my dad's, and it's not ready yet. We went out this evening and bought Rylee a little pool. I can't wait to use it with her tomorrow.It's supposed to be about 97 degrees! Talk about warm!
So, she might actually be out now. I hope so, I want to relax for the night. Get some reading done, maybe play a game and snuggle with James. He's been working a lot lately and we haven't had much time together. I wish we had a new movie to watch, but half the time we can't agree on one.
As much as I love talking with you I think it's time for me to go. I will try to post more often, but no promises. :-)

It's June!
I'm such a slacker! It's been over a week since I've posted. We've just been hanging out basically. Went to a family function Sunday, it was nice to hang out for a while. We drove home in a horrible storm though, but Bug slept through the whole thing.
Last Saturday I went to a bachelorette party! One of my best friends is getting married the middle of the month and we all went out on Saturday. It was so much fun! My mom took Rylee and us girls spent the night in a hotel. We went drinking and dancing and had a blast! James spent time with his friends and did some stuff around the house.
We're going to have a date night tonight. Going to the movies and possibly dinner somewhere. But, first we have to wait for Rylee to wake up so we can take her to grandma's house.
The last two days it has been sooo hot, I've been enjoying it though. We got our window a/c unit put in so it hasn't been terrible inside. I took Rylee out in her pack and play the other day for a bit, just to get out of the house. She was having a great time until she decided to poo, lol.

Hot!
It's finally warm here! But, who knows for how long. I love summer! Michigan is fickle when it comes to choosing a type of weather to have. I need to get Bug a swimsuit that way we can go to grandpa's house and swim!
I think she may have thrush, I'm not entirely sure though. I thought initially that it was from having her binky in her mouth for too long at night, but now I'm not sure. Her lips are kinda white on the inside and then earlier they acted like they wanted to bleed. I have a hard time getting her to let me look inside to see if there are any spots on her cheeks or tongue. I figure if she still has the marks tomorrow I will take her to the doc and see what they say. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Busy!
It's been over a week since I posted. I apologize, we've been kind of busy around here. James has been working a lot and I've been spending time with my bug. Friday we had a playdate! We met a friend at the park and hung out for a couple hours. Rylee does not like swings. At first she was okay, but then she changed her mind, lol.
Saturday we were supposed to go to the Detroit Zoo with some family, but we got rained out. We went to a local petting zoo instead. They said it was supposed to be mostly inside, but it wasn't, lol. I just hope Rylee doesn't get sick from being out in the rain. I really don't think I could handle a sick baby right now. After that we went to lunch and visited with family. We brought James' sister home with us. She has been away at Emerson College and is now home for the summer. Needless to say Saturday was a long day with a lot of driving/riding.
Sunday, James had to work and I had a bridal shower to go to for one of my best friends. I had to take Rylee with me and it was a challenge. I had to be there right at the time that she naps to help set up. I went and stayed for about an hour then told Katie (the friend) that I had to get her home to a nap or else we wouldn't be able to stay for the afternoon. So, I got her home, she slept for about 45 min. We got there about 12:45pm and everything was going great until Katie did the introductions... everyone was hooting and clapping and getting into it, and Rylee didn't like that. She started bawling, the poor baby. I felt so bad, I had to try to calm her down while waiting for Katie to introduce me. Then I took her to the side and got her to stop. When they were opening gifts and the group would get rowdy Rylee would get scared and start crying again. After a while I gave up, I told Katie that we couldn't stay, Rylee kept spitting up and crying and she was getting restless because I couldn't really put her down to play. We had to leave early and I felt awful. I felt like I was being a terrible friend/bridesmaid. I couldn't even stay for her shower and help out. So, I came home, got Rylee a bottle then put her down for a nap, and I cleaned. I did laundry and just made sure the house was clean before James got home. After he got home we went and did a little grocery shopping finally. We had been dangerously low on groceries, lol.
Anyway, it was a long week(end). I wish we could have a date night or something. I feel like we need to get out of the house sans baby for just a night. I think it would do us some good.

Happy Mother's Day.. Tomorrow..
Today was a long and exhausting day. I had to give up my hours at work because my baby sitter backed out on me yesterday and I couldn't find a replacement. So Rylee and I went out and about. Got her some food and formula this afternoon. We visited daddy at work, then went to the park and hung out with a friend. By the time we got home it was time for her dinner and past her nap time. The evening went by pretty quickly. She's been in bed for an hour or so now and she is deciding to wake up... ugh.. I can hear her moving and grunting like she's trying to get comfy or something. I've already gone in once to give her her binky. I hope she sleeps because James went fishing with a friend tonight and it's been me and Rylee all day because he had to work. I could really use a break. There's something wrong with my knee and it's swollen and sore, so I'm tired of having to get up and down. I really hope she falls back asleep soon. Keep your fingers crossed!
Well, I'm going to get ready for bed in hopes that Rylee will pass back out so I can get some sleep. Lucky me gets to work in the morning. Good night!

Cloth Diapers!
That's right! We're journeying into cloth diapering! I'm so excited. It will save us a ton of money. The price of disposables is going up in June. We already pay too much as it is, so, we're phasing them out and hopefully will switch over to cloth full time! We still have a pretty big stockpile of sposies, so it'll take a month or so before we're mostly full time. I hope they work for us. If they don't then I just wasted money, lol. I could always sell them again. I just don't want to. Keep your fingers crossed that they work!

Books
Rylee went to grandma's for the night! Daddy and I both have to work today so she's spending the night there. It seems so weird to not have her here right now. It's been a long time since she's stayed the night away. I just get worried that her schedule will be all out of whack when she gets home. I like her schedule, she likes her schedule, it works for us and if she gets thrown off it's hell, lol.
James and I are going to do some house/yard work tomorrow before we pick her up. The lawn is in desperate need of a mowing and the house needs a good cleaning. No matter what I do when she's around I still can't seem to keep this house clean, lol. But, for today, I am just doing what I want until I go to work in about an hour. Just catching up on my tv shows, drinking some coffee to wake me up, and just hanging out. I don't get the chance to just sit and do something I want to very often. I figured we would be doing a lot tomorrow, so I'm going to enjoy today!
I'm in the market for a new book to read. I have been reading a lot lately, it's my favorite down time activity. I like Sarah Dessen, Jennifer Echols, Lauren Oliver. I read both of Lauren Oliver's books. All of Sarah Dessen's, but she has a new one coming out the 10th! I'm so excited, but I don't want to wait that long for another. I read all of Jennifer Echols' adult novels, she has some young adult ones that I haven't gotten to yet. She also has a new book coming out but that won't be until mid-July and I am definitely not waiting that long. Any ideas for a new book? I'm not really in the mood to branch out to a different type of writing, so no mysteries or anything like that.

Long Day
It has been a really long day. James left for work at 11:15am and wont be home for another hour at least. Ugh..
Rylee and I went to visit grandpa today (my dad). He loves her! He can't get enough of her smiles and giggles. When we first told him he was going to be a grandpa he wasn't all that thrilled. He eventually came around, as most grandparents-to-be do. I actually think she is really good for him. She can put him in a great mood just by looking at him and smiling. When his sister passed away at the beginning of the month we went over and hung out. She brought a smile to his face and kept him from being too down. We couldn't stay long today. My dad works 3rd shift and goes to bed about 1pm. That definitely stinks, we can't spend much time with him. Only a few hours in the morning.
After visiting grandpa, we came home and played until nap time. She napped pretty well today. I attempted a nap too, but the stinkin' cats wouldn't either shut up or leave me alone. Oh well. After her nap we played some more as always. Had some dinner and then we went to my work. I had some movies to take back and a pop to pick up. I left it there accidentally last night when I left. We visited with my co-workers for a bit to waste some time. When we got home we played some more! Watched a little bit of a baby einstein movie. Then attempted another nap about 6pm. It took her a few but she slept. It was a nice break for 20 minutes. We played and snacked some more before bed. It was bath night tonight. Which is almost every night. I truly think that it helps her sleep better, or at least fall asleep easier. She went down about 35 minutes ago. I only had to check on her twice and I'm hoping that she's out.
Now, I'm waiting for a netflix video to buffer so I can watch something before James gets home. Tomorrow we're going to the mall I think. I have to get my friend something for her wedding. I'm so excited. It'll be a great wedding. It's going to be a big wedding too, lol. She has 6 bridesmaids! Me including!
Ok, I suppose, I'm going to find a snack and then watch some of my video! Have a good night and a great rest of the weekend!

Rain
It's been so icky rainy here the last few days. I'm ready for summer and hot weather. Then Rylee and I can go swimming while daddy is at work. I can't wait! Yesterday afternoon wasn't too bad, when the rain cleared it was nice, but very windy. Hopefully my uncle will be giving us his swing set that he had for his grandkids. They haven't used it in a while and he doesn't want it to just sit there. It'll be nice to swing with Rylee on nice days. :-)
James and I both have today off! I'm so excited! I woke up to him making breakfast! French toast! I love French toast. It was sweet of him. I'm not sure what else we're doing today. I know we have to go to town at some point and get some stuff taken care of but other than that I'm not really sure. Maybe we'll just enjoy each others company since it's rare that we both have the day off.

Ramblings
Holy cow! It's been a while since I've updated. Not much has happened. Just your everyday things. We've been working. Well, Kinda... I have worked a little, very little. James has been working a lot, so Rylee and I have been getting a lot of quality time together.
I admit, I kinda stink at this blogging thing... I'll have to learn to post more often. I have zero readers at this point, at least I think zero.. So I'm basically talking to myself, which isn't really new because when you're around a baby all day with no one else to talk to, you start talking to yourself. :-)
Easter went well. We didn't do anything. I had to work, so that was no fun. We couldn't afford to get her anything either. I figure she doesn't really need it anyway since she's so young, she doesn't know anything about it, she won't miss not getting anything. Next year if things are looking up for us we'll get her something.
I can't really remember if I posted this or not, but my place of employment is now closed on Monday and Wednesday every week, starting today. It sucks because I'm now down to 2 days a week working and I feel like a failure. I can't really, truly provide for her. I mean I can, but it is getting harder and harder. James isn't guaranteed 40hours a week, we're lucky if he gets over 20. I just wish there were something I could do to make things better...

Loss
My aunt passed away over the weekend. We knew it was coming, but it's still a shock to our systems. Her funeral is tomorrow. I feel bad for my dad, this is the first of his family of 12 kids to pass. I think everyone is taking it pretty hard.
On another note, I really don't feel well. I'm not sure what it is but my head is killing me. I'm tired and just wore out. I have to work tonight so that will be awesome. I cannot wait for the day where I can just stay home with our little girl and spend time with her and not at a job. Who knows when that day will come, if ever.
Well, I know I didn't write much, but I think she's waking from her super short nap and I have to finish getting ready for work. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Work
So, I had this amazing post typed out and then somehow it got deleted... great.. I don't feel like retyping the whole thing, but I'll see what I can come up with.
I work at a crappy dead end job. I went to school for medical assisting and nursing, but I can't seem to find a job anywhere. Since I can't find a job and I really can't stand the one I'm in, I would love to become a stay at home mom. The only downfall is that James doesn't really make enough yet to cover me being able to stay at home, and pay all our bills. I am looking to try to babysit for a family or two, that way I can have some sort of income. I just can't find a family yet. Hopefully I will be able to soon, because I'm not sure how much longer my job will be around. I have a feeling our store will be closing it's door for good here soon. It's been a rumor for a few years now, but I think there is finally some truth behind it. Here's to a new job, hopefully...

Life
Life with Rylee is amazing. I love her to pieces. Yes, we have our rough times, but it's all worth it. Being a mother is the hardest job in the world. But as we all know it is the most rewarding.
For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a mom. The hard part was waiting until I considered myself old enough, and well off enough to be able to provide for a child. After I started dating James, I knew that I wanted to be with him forever, he is the love of my life. We had known each other for about 7ish years before we started dating. One of us was always in a relationship so we never thought about dating before. He broke up with his last girlfriend because she was a crazy, lol. A couple months later after we had been talking a lot more, he realized that the guy I was with was a jerk and found a way to help me out of a terrible relationship. We started dating a while later and things have been wonderful ever since. We decided about 2 months into our relationship that we'd like to have a baby together. We didn't tell anyone of our plans because I knew we'd be judged. We waited to start trying until the fall, figured we should at least wait a little while, and I really wanted a summer baby, so I counted out the approximate months and we started ttc in September and on our third cycle we got the BFP (big fat positive), right before Thanksgiving. We were so excited.
I think I'll stop here and pick up the story in another post later. :-)

Fair To Midland!
OMG!! James and I went to see them last night for his birthday. They were absolutely amazing!!! Such a fantastic show! I would love to see them again. The lead singer is sooo energetic! He was climbing all over everything, throwing himself into the crowd, throwing water bottles out into the crowd. It was crazy! You should look them up, they're not for everyone. Very "out-there". But amazing none the less! Check them out!
In other news, we got a crappy snow storm this week. I cannot wait for it to all melt. It's almost April. I'm ready for hot weather! I want to spend time outside with Rylee. I am so tired of being cooped up in the house. There's only just so much you can do, at least outside she'll get some fresh air, maybe help her sleep better.
I can't believe Rylee-bug is almost 8 months old! The time has gone by so quickly! She's still not crawling, but she tries. She'll walk if you hold her up and steady. She will talk your ear off, not in English, but in her own language. So stinkin' cute!
Well, I've gotta get ready for work, sadly. Daddy has gone to pick bug up from grandmas house. I hope he stops at work on his way home so I can see her! I miss her like crazy!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

First Post!!
Hey there everyone!!!
This is my first attempt at blogging, so please bear with me until I get the hang of things. I'm going to try to start at the beginning and get everyone caught up to where I am today. I'm really not sure how well this is going to turn out, it may be a little choppy to get things started, but once I get all caught up it should be better.
My name is Sarah (23), I am engaged to James (23) and we have a beautiful daughter named Rylee (7.5 months). James and I have been together since April 18, 2009 and engaged since December 18, 2010. We've known each other for about 9 years, and are planning on getting married April 21, 2012.
On August 4, 2010 at 4:21am I gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl. Weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and a whopping 21.5 inches long.
I had a super easy pregnancy! I loved being pregnant. I did get super swollen with water retention, but that was about it. I was on bed rest for only one day near the end because my BP got high and I had some protein in my urine so the doctor wanted to make sure I took it easy until the next day when I was to get induced. I went in on a Monday and had my baby girl on Wednesday morning. Talk about a long hospital stay. We came home Thursday, but I went back in Thursday night because I had gotten a fever and needed to get it checked out. Turned out that I had an infection and needed antibiotics. So they admitted me and made me stay. I was not a very happy camper. I just wanted to be home with my family. Rylee is a great baby! She's generally pretty happy. We got super lucky!
I think I'll leave it at that for now. I don't want to make one super long post. I'll come back later and see what else I can come up with. :-)
